The meeting was called to order at approximately 1834
The meeting was adjourned at approximately 2050.
BARC will be starting a monthly breakfast, where we can get together,
meet other club members, discuss ham radio or anything that comes up.
This is similar to the monthly Dim Sum that we did years ago.
The breakfast will be on the second Sunday of each month, beginning
on 11/14, starting at 0830, at the Old Country Buffet, 550 Arsenal Street
in Watertown. The #70 bus from Central Square goes right by the mall.
The Holiday Dinner will be held instead of the December general meeting
on 12/16 at the Tin Tin Buffet in Brighton. They have an open buffet,
and the cost is $8.95 (much cheaper than last year...) Dinner reservation
forms will be in the November SPARC.
Nominations for the BARC Ham of the Year will be in the November SPARC.
Please start thinking about who you would nominate.
We will have another Net Control 101 (on-the-air workshop for people to
learn how to run the club net) immediately after the BARC net on 10/25
Our speaker for October will be Chris Conti, talking about foxhunting
and radio direction finding. This will be a very interesting meeting.
Two of the business-band repeaters that had been donated to BARC have been
sold to benefit the club (and to free up space in my living room and Dick's

A committee has been formed to work out next year's budget. A report will
be presented at the December business meeting.
Two guests from the Comitato Tricolore di Boston stopped by to discuss
plans for ham radio support at a dedication celebration at the Marconi
site in Wellfleet.
